Missouri's contributions to WWI highlighted at exhibit
KIRKSVILLE, Mo. —
The First World War, the Great War, the War to End All Wars.
A state-wide exhibit on World War I is currently on display at A.T. Still Memorial Library.
The event, "Missouri and the Great War," will have an open house this Friday, March 9.
Missouri's contributions to the war will be highlighted.
“The exhibit itself is seven large panels depicting different stages of the war throughout the years before the Americans joined world war one, and then of course after," said A.T. Still Library Public Service Manager Debra Loguda-Summers.
A military honor guard will partake in a 21-gun salute around 4:30 p.m.
The event is free to the public, and will run until 6:30 p.m.
The exhibit runs until April 25.
