Mystic man arrested for prostitution
CENTERVILLE, Iowa —
A Mystic, Iowa, man is facing prostitution charges.
John William Montgomery, 39, was arrested on Monday.
According to the criminal complaint, Montgomery was in retail store on Jackson Street in Centerville.
That's when he approached a woman and her son at the counter with his genitals exposed.
He proceeded to ask the victim if she would like to make $200 and then referenced his exposed genitals.
Montgomery faces misdemeanor Indecent Exposure and Prostitution charges.
According to court records, a person commits prostitution when offering his services for sale or by selling his services as a partner in a sex act.
Montgomery has been released on bond. He faces a maximum sentence of two years in jail.
