NEMO driver hits rear of 18-wheeler while trying to pass it
ANABEL, Mo. —
A northeast Missouri driver was injured early Thursday morning after his car rammed into the back of the tractor-trailer he was attempting to pass.
The crash happened at 4:30 a.m. on Highway 36, just west of Anabel, Missouri.
Troopers said a car driven by Phillip Bradshaw, 27 of Shelbyville, Missouri, struck the rear of the 18-wheeler he was trying to overtake.
Bradshaw suffered moderate injuries during the impact. He was wearing a seat belt.
He was taken by private auto to Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri, for treatment.
The truck driver, Martin Griffiths, 67, of Callao, Missouri, was not hurt.
