New Heartland graduates are celebrating a big accomplishment.

This week, students in Macon received their High School Equivalency Certificate.

The new grads had to complete a difficult course and take the HiSET exam.

That exam is the new alternative to the GED test.

The graduates have now been awarded state-issued High School Equivalency credentials.
