NEMO man airlifted after crashing into tree

A northeast Missouri man was flown to a Columbia hospital Friday evening after his pickup truck slammed into a tree.

The one-vehicle crash happened just before 7 p.m. on a gravel road in Monroe County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a pickup driven by John W. Frisbee, 82, of Clarence went off the roadway and struck a tree.

Frisbee suffered serious injuries. Emergency medical crews flew him to Boone Hospital in Columbia for treatment.

The online crash report states that troopers are not sure if Frisbee was buckled up.
