NEMO teen ejected in rollover crash

A northeast Missouri teen is recovering after a frightening crash. (MGN)

A Heartland teen is recovering after a frightening crash.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident happened at 10:45 Thursday morning.

A 17-year-old from northeast Missouri was traveling on State Highway P, five miles south of New Cambria.

The crash report states the driver ran off the right side of the road, over corrected, drove off the left side of the roadway, and once again, over corrected.

The vehicle then overturned and came to rest on its wheels on the roadway.

The teen was ejected in the crash.

The young woman was transported to University Hospital in Columbia by Air Evac for treatment of serious injuries.

Troopers says she wasn't wearing a seat belt.
