
LANCASTER, Mo. — A northeast Missouri man was injured in an accidental shooting over the weekend.
It happened shortly before 8:30 p.m. Saturday in Lancaster.
Emergency crews rushed to a home at 403 South Green Street.
Schuyler County Sheriff Joe Wuebker told KTVO the victim is Harold Aldridge III, 21, of Lancaster.
Wuebker said another resident in the home called 911 and told a dispatcher that a 9 mm handgun accidentally discharged as Aldridge was putting it away.
The bullet struck Aldridge in the hand.
He was taken by ambulance to Northeast Regional Medical Center and then transferred to University Hospital in Columbia where he was treated and released.
No one else was hurt.
The shooting has been ruled an accident.
