Northeast Missouri man faces charges for cattle theft

A northeast Missouri man is a facing a felony charge for theft.

Last week, the Lewis County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of David Kenny, 71, of La Belle, Mo. He is charged with Theft of Livestock, a Class C felony.

In December 2017, Sharpe Land and Cattle in La Belle reported that three black Angus cows and four black Angus calves had been stolen from a pasture in Lewis County.

Officials say that Kenny had picked up the cattle without permission and transported them to an undisclosed location.

Kenny was released after posting bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for January 22.
