Northeast Missouri woman injured in morning crash

    A northeast Missouri woman suffered minor injuries in a Thursday morning crash.

    According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened just after 7:30 a.m. on Highway 36, two miles west of Callao.

    A vehicle driven by Anne Freeman, 32, of Callao, traveled into the path of a bucket truck driven by Aaron Olson, 28, of Lewistown, Mo.

    The bucket truck struck the driver’s side of Freeman’s car, where it came to rest in the median. The truck ended up on the shoulder.

    Freeman suffered minor injuries and sought her own treatment. Her vehicle was a total loss.

    The driver of the bucket truck did not receive any injuries.

    Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

    The Highway Patrol was assisted by the Macon County Sheriff’s Office, Rescue Squad and Ambulance.
