OPD responds to T-bone crash
OTTUMWA, Iowa —
Two drivers walked away from a serious crash in Ottumwa Friday.
Around 1 p.m., Ottumwa first responders were called to the intersection of BUS 63 and Woodland Avenue where two vehicles collided.
Investigators at the scene tell KTVO the driver of a Buick SUV was traveling south on 63 when a Nissan Altima pulled into his path.
Both vehicles came to rest on opposite sides of the road. Only minor injuries were sustained in the crash.
No traffic citations had been issued when KTVO was at the scene Friday. If anything, officers said the driver of the Nissan will be cited for failing to yield.
