An investigation into a robbery has landed an Ottumwa man in jail on a weapons charge.

On Tuesday, officers from the Ottumwa Police Department and the Southeast Iowa Inter-Agency Drug Task Force executed a warrant at a residence on Court Street as part of a robbery investigation.

Once inside the residence, officers found a male carrying a handgun.

He was identified as Marcus A. Jackson, 36, and was determined to be a convicted felon.

Jackson was charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, a Class D felony, and a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge, a Serious Misdemeanor.
