Crews respond to crash at Ottumwa's 5 corners

The rear-end collision happened just before 7 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Church Street and Richmond Avenue/KTVO

The Ottumwa Police Department confirmed to KTVO Wednesday that all occupants involved are OK. Everyone refused medical treatment at the scene.

The driver of the GMC was cited for no insurance, and failing to maintain careful and prudent speed.

Ottumwa first responders were called to a two-vehicle crash Tuesday night at the five corners intersection.

The rear-end collision happened on Church Street just before 7 p.m.

A GMC SUV and a Jeep were traveling south on Church Street towards McDonalds, when the Jeep was struck from behind.

All occupants in the Jeep appeared to be OK. At least one occupant in the GMC received treatment at the scene.

The sergeant on duty was not immediately available Tuesday to say what caused the crash, or if anyone was taken to the hospital.
