KIRKSVILLE, Mo. — Megan Driving Hawk is hoping to sew together a quilt to represent the shared history of the Kirksville community.
Driving Hawk, who is a fine arts intern at Taking Root Cafe held her first meeting on Saturday to discuss plans for the quilt.
"I'm a quilter myself. It's something that has been passed down to me, and I've noticed in this area, I;ve seen a lot of quilts," Driving Hawk said.
The final product will be hung up for display at Taking Root Cafe, and the next meeting will be Tuesday August 4th at also at Taking Root Cafe.
