Wapello County Auditor encourages voter registration

National voting registration started September 25. (KTVO)

You can now register to vote if you haven't done so already.

Voter registration events around the country started Tuesday.

If you recently moved, got married, or turned 18, you can update your information online. The process only takes about three minutes.

To register you must be a U.S. citizen and be a resident of the state you are registering in. You can also register to vote online or by visiting your local election office.

“It doesn’t really take a whole lot. You're filling out a form, giving us your driver’s license number, your date of birth, name, where you live, mailing address if it’s different than your home address and your party affiliation if you wish to declare one,” said Kelly Spurgeon.
