OTTUMWA, Iowa — Looking for something different to do this Saint Patrick's Day weekend? How about a paint crawl?
The Paint Crawl fundraiser will be March 15 from 5 p.m. -6:30 p.m.
Participants in the paint crawl will get their own paint-by-number canvas.
Painters will need to visit each location on the crawl to receive the paint needed at each stop.
The stops are located at: Market on Main, Appanoose Rapids, Owls Nest Bar and Grill, Pallister Brothers Brewing Company, and Tom Tom Tap.
Fred Zesiger told KTVO the reason for the Paint Crawl.
'It’s kind of a celebration for Saint Patrick’s Day, which is Sunday, and looking at different paintings that we could choose from. We’re trying to tie in Ottumwa and Saint Patrick’s Day, so we went with a bulldog painting for the Ottumwa Bulldogs and then it’s the paint colors are kind of a rainbow, rainbow colors for Saint Patrick’s Day," said Zesiger.
The cost of this event is $45, which includes all supplies.
The proceeds will be split between Market on Main and the Ottumwa Area Arts Council.
