Teen with autism voted Homecoming King at local school
NEW CAMBRIA, Mo. —
Macon County R-4 Schools in New Cambria, Missouri has some new royalty.
Nicholas Richards was voted Homecoming King by his classmates last Friday.
His mother, Jamie, told KTVO the award was especially important to them because Nicholas is on the autism spectrum.
He was diagnosed when he was five years old – and while he’s very sociable and outgoing now, he worked very hard to get to that point.
Nicholas enjoys going fishing and bowling, and is also a big fan of dinosaurs.
Kimberly Gaul was voted Homecoming Queen.
