NEAR BROOKFIELD, Mo. — A weekend crash has left three northeast Missouri residents badly injured.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 10:00 a.m. Saturday, on U.S. Highway 36, three miles east of Brookfield.
Troopers say two motorcycles were traveling westbound when Carolyn Wolfe, 61, of Macon, failed to yield and pulled into the path of the bikes.
As a result, Jessye Ford, 40, and his occupant, Audrey Ford, 36, both of Callao, were flown to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of serious injuries.
The other motorcyclist, Russell Watts, 29, of La Plata, was also flown by medical helicopter to Columbia with serious injuries.
Wolfe was not injured in the crash.
