Around six o’clock Wednesday night, just as authorities were clearing the scene from another house fire on Herrmann avenue, they responded to a call on the 900=block of Second Street, across from Westgate Towers.

When the crew arrived, smoke was coming out of the roof and back of the home.

Fire Chief Tony Miller told KTVO the house was close to being fully engulfed.

There were three people living in the house at the time, all three made it out safely. One cat was left behind, but a firefighter was able to pull it out of the house just in time.

Miller says they think the fire started in the attic. The Fire Marshall is currently investigating the cause.
