A crash involving a trash truck sends a northeast Missouri woman to the hospital.

The crash happened just after 7:30 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 63 one mile north of Sublette, between Kirksville and Greentop.

Troopers said a garbage truck driven by Robert Hall, 41, of Clarence, Missouri, was attempting to make a left turn when it was rear-ended by a minivan.

The van was driven by Vanessa Hurley, 27, of Kirksville.

Hurley suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Northeast Regional Medical Center.

Hall was not hurt.

There was no noticeable damage done to the garbage truck, but the minivan had to be towed from the scene.

Traffic was slowed for only a few minutes.

Law enforcement directed traffic until the tow truck got there to haul away the minivan.

According to the online crash report, both drivers were buckled up.
