LEWIS COUNTY, Mo. — Two northeast Missouri residents are behind bars facing drug charges.
On Sunday, members of the Lewis County Sheriff's Office arrested Amanda M. Blake, 35, of Kirksville, Missouri, and Christopher Lake, 34, of La Plata, Missouri.
According to the Lewis County Sheriff's Office, deputies were checking on a stranded motorist near the intersection of Highway 6 and Evergreen Street east of Lewistown.
They then discovered Blake and Lake both had a controlled substance in their possession.
The two are now charged with one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance, namely methamphetamine, a Class D felony.
Both remain in the Lewis County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash-only bond each.
