KEOSAUQUA, Iowa — A Van Buren County wrestling coach is accused this week of sending inappropriate messages to a student on Snapchat.
School administrators tell KTVO Bradley Michael Goehring, 27, of Keosaququa, was terminated from employment last month, amid allegations of misconduct.
"He no longer works for the school district and was discharged following allegations that he transmitted inappropriate materials to a student via social media," said Van Buren Superintendent Dr. Pam Ewell.
The alleged misconduct was reported to school officials Feb. 21, 2019.
Less than a month later, Goehring was arrested and charged with Exhibition of Obscene Material to Minors. According to online court documents, Goehring sent obscene Snapchat messages and a picture to the victim, who is a student at Van Buren County High School.
Due to a conflict of interest, Goehring's case will be prosecuted in Davis County.
