A new water tower west of Novelty, Mo., is making progress towards completion.

According to the Edina Sentinel, welding on the tower will be done over the next few weeks, but most work will have to wait for warmer temperatures.

Maguire Iron out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, is building the tower, Knox County Public Water Supply District Manager Gary Mallett told the Sentinel.

The tower will reportedly hold 100,000 gallons of water, which is double what the tower it is replacing holds. Mallett said the tower will cost approximately $630,000 to build, and is expected to start service in the spring or summer of 2018.
