WASHINGTON (Sinclair Broadcast Group) -- The Daily Mail reports at least 250,000 people are expected to celebrate the New Year in downtown London.
Officers are patrolling the streets with rifles and sniffer dog units but admittedly, according to the Scotland Yard Police, there will be less officers on duty versus last year.
A fireworks show takes place at the banks of the River Thames while Big Ben chimes to acknowledge that the New Year is here.
