Ted Cruz says Democrats are 'party driven by hatred' in 1-on-1 with Eric Bolling

U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) sat down for a 1-on-1 discussion with Eric Bolling at CPAC (SBG)

WASHINGTON (Sinclair Broadcast Group) -- United States Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) accused the Democratic Party of being "driven by hatred" in a one-on-one interview with Eric Bolling at the Conservative Political Action Conference near the nation's capital.

"The Democrats have become the party driven by hatred, which means we should become the party driven by common sense," Cruz said.

Cruz elaborated by saying that Democrats were embracing socialism because they hate President Donald Trump.

"They've become so extreme because they hate the president," he said. "They want to tax you 70%. Can you imagine being taxed 70%," he asked.

Cruz said since the Democrats have become so extreme, that should be a great opportunity for Republicans.
