UPDATE: Naked man caught on video touching himself outside Nashville home arrested

UPDATE: (9/30/17) -- Police arrest 33-year-old Kevin Montgomery of Hermitage on Friday night for indecent exposure after an incident at a Hermitage woman's home. They say he has prior convictions for the offense.

A neighbor found his wallet nearby his social security card, say police.

Montgomery is also charged with criminal trespassing and vandalism. He has been released from jail on $3,750 bond.

A Hermitage woman said Thursday that a naked stranger tried to open her back door and peered into her windows overnight.

Surveillance video from Sheila Butler's house shows the man enter the back gate into her yard off Andrew Jackson Parkway. She said she was fast asleep when the man entered her backyard around 1:30 a.m.

After first entering her yard wearing a shirt and no pants, the man stayed in her backyard for around 36 minutes.

The video shows him eventually full nude appearing to pleasure himself and use her garden hose. He is also seen looking into her windows and trying to open the back door multiple times before jumping over the gate and leaving.

“Had I not locked my door that night, he could have easily gotten in to me,” Butler said. "I haven't been able to sleep whatsoever because my bedroom window is right beside the door in which this young man was sitting at."

Not only does she feel like her safety was compromised that night, she also feels like her privacy was violated.

“Someone has definitely invaded my privacy, and I don't check my camera on a regular basis so I don't know if he's been here before,” says Butler.

What made Butler check the camera this time was seeing a strange shirt hanging on the back gate.

“I thought it was like an animal, a big animal or something had gotten into my yard. When we blew it up and saw that it was actually a human, it creeped and scared the living heck out of me,” says Butler.

Sheila’s brother Russell Marshall just moved to Nashville and is staying with his sister temporarily.

“When he came through the patio door, the first thing he did was basically checking to see if the door was unlocked,” Marshall said. “I always think about what if. What if that door was unlocked?”

Metro Nashville Police said they're trying to find the man and have extra patrols in the area. Neighbors in the Truxton Park area of Hermitage said they’re fearful the stranger will return to their homes before Metro police are able to find him.

“One of the residents over here on this side said she recognized him after the fact” Kim Shivers said. "When she saw the video she said that's the guy. But he came around the back and used her water hose to clean."

That’s the same thing the stranger is doing in the video at Butler's home. Butler made a report with Metro Police and a sex crimes detective is working the case.

While this man still roams the streets, Butler said she feels vulnerable.

“I don't want anyone else to feel the way I currently feel," Butler said. "I'm scared. I'm scared to death. I haven't slept. I can't sleep. I feel like a prisoner in my own home."
