IHCC soccer scores two wins against Northeast


The Indian Hills men's and women's soccer both took down Northeast in shutout fashion Saturday.

The men's side was up first and they took care of business, routing the Hawks 8-0. Akean Shackleford paced the team with four goals, bringing his season tally to a conference best 22 goals. Reshon Phillip picked up three assists, making him the league leader in assists with 14. The win moves the Warriors to 11-1 (5-0) on the year.

The women followed suit with a slick 3-0 win. Laura Hallissey led the way with a two goals and Megan McElmeel scored the other. The win moved Hills to 7-2-1 (4-1) for the year and into sole possession of second place in the conference, one game behind Iowa Western.
