Just one week into the Indian Hills softball season, Warriors sophomore Shyanne DuBois is already a NJCAA National Player of the Week.

The award spans from Feb, 13th-19th so only covers the Warriors first seven games of the season. During that stretch IHCC went 6-1.

The sophomore short stop and outfielder piled up numbers. She grabbed 13 hits, including a grand slam home run against Ranger College, 4 doubles and 6 RBI. She also stole 8 bases.

This award comes after DuBois and teammate sophomore pitcher Marissa Promes earned ICCAC player of the week honors.

Overall the Warriors are 7-2. DuBois leads the team in batting average hitting .500, hits with 17, runs with 14 and stolen bases with 11.

Next up for Indian Hills is a trip to Columbus, Georgia on March 10th. The Warriors open the NFCA Leadoff Classic with Gulf Coast CC at 9am.
