Truman State's Nicolle Barmettler captures medalist honors at the Triton Invitational

For the third time in her career and second time this season, senior women's golfer, Nicolle Barmettler, took home medalist honors. This time around, it came in Missouri-St. Louis' Triton Invitational as Truman placed fourth out of 14 teams with a two-day score of 649 (331-318/+81), just one stroke behind Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) foe, Southern Indiana.

Barmettler took home the tournament title with a score of 146 (74-72/+4), two strokes better than the two second-place finishers.

That day-one score of 72 ties her personal low for a single round and the 146 is only one stroke worse than her previous best.

For the Omaha, Neb. native, this win joins victories at the William Jewell Fall Tune Up on Sept. 4, 2015 and Drury's Lady Panther Fall Invitational on Oct. 16, 2017.

Next up for the Bulldogs and also in the top 30 was Montana George in a tie for 29th with a 170 (87-83/+28)

. One stroke back and in 32nd for the Purple and White was Lindsey Repp with a 171 (92-79/+29). Rounding out the scoring for Truman was Stephanie Hulett in a tie for 33rd with a 172 (88-84/+30) and Brooke Kelley in a tie for 39th with a 175 (82-93/+33).

Amanda Ressel competed as an individual and finished in 64th with a two-day score of 195 (99-96/+53).

That wraps the regular season for Truman as it will next compete in the GLVC Championships on Friday-Sunday, April 27-29 at Fox Run Golf Club in Eureka, Mo.
