Two quick goals give Truman a 2-1 win over S&T

ROLLA, Mo. – Two goals in a 32 second span gave the Truman Women's Soccer team their fourth straight Great Lakes Valley Conference victory as the Bulldogs downed Missouri S&T 2-1 on Sunday afternoon on the road.

Hanna Hickey assisted on both goals as she first set up Isabel Kurzban for her first of the season at the 50:47 mark and then at 51:19, fed Allison Lockett for her third goal of the year and a 2-0 Truman lead.

S&T got on the board with just over four minutes remaining as Taylor Vollmer was awarded and converted on a penalty. That stopped the Bulldog shutout streak of 292:17.

Katie Mattingly faced four shots on goal and made three saves while her counterpart for the Lady Miners, Liz Carrano stopped three of the five Truman shots on goal.

The Bulldogs return home on Friday for two straight home matches. Truman will host Maryville at 3:30 on Friday and Missouri-St. Louis at 2:30 on Sunday at the Bulldog Soccer Park.
