The GLVC Sports Network (GLVCSN) will air live coverage of all seven matches of the 2018 GLVC Volleyball Championship Tournament as well as the 30-minute "red carpet" show prior to Wednesday’s awards reception, the Great Lakes Valley Conference announced today.
This year's tournament will take place Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 8-10, at the EastSide Centre in East Peoria, Illinois.
The familiar voice of John Edwards returns to GLVCSN to call all seven contests.
GLVCSN will begin streaming its pregame show 15 minutes prior to each scheduled tournament match. Coverage of the first quarterfinal between No. 6 seed Bellarmine University and No. 3 and tri-regular season champion University of Illinois Springfield will begin at 11:15 a.m. CT. No. 2 seed and tri-regular season champion Drury University will face No. 7 McKendree University with streaming starting at 2:15 p.m. CT.
At 5:15 p.m. CT, coverage of No. 4 Rockhurst University and No. 5 University of Indianapolis will commence, followed by the nightcap of No. 1 and tri-regular season champion Lewis University and No. 8 Truman State University beginning at approximately 8:15 p.m. CT on GLVCSN.
Friday’s semifinal coverage will start at 2:15 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. CT, while Saturday’s championship final will begin streaming at 11:45 a.m. CT.
GLVCSN will also stream a live 30-minute GLVC Tournament Awards Reception Red Carpet Show this evening at 7:45 p.m. CT. The coverage will feature interviews with select head coaches and student-athletes as they begin to file into the banquet room at the EastPort Banquet Center in East Peoria.
