Missouri and Iowa Basketball action on Tuesday

Novinger and Schuyler County had been scheduled to host tournaments starting Monday night but due to weather the games were postponed. The games scheduled for tonight and tomorrow have been moved back a day. All games that were scheduled for Monday will be moved to Tuesday night and all games scheduled for Tuesday have been moved to Wednesday. Championship games are still scheduled to take place on Saturday.

Ottumwa boys’ basketball kicks off their regular season Tuesday on the road against Fort Madison. Last year the Bulldogs went 6-16 on the season, but are returning nine juniors to this year’s squad.

Ottumwa lost to Fort Madison 63-59 to open last season. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:45 p.m.

Oskaloosa is also in action Tuesday night. A season after losing the state championship game the Indians are looking bounce back from that loss this year. Cole Henry and Xavier foster, two of Iowa’s best basketball players are back for another shot at that title. The 6-foot-10-inch UNI commit Henry and his partner down low, 7-foot Foster will be nearly impossible for teams to guard. They will start their trek back to what they hope to be another state finals with a game against Fairfield at 7:45 p.m.
