Hello Heartland! I graduated from Wartburg College with a degree in journalism in the spring of 2014 and started working at KTVO in the following summer, I'm happy to be here! I was born and grew up on a farm in Northeast Iowa. I spent most of my college career working as the station manager and news director at WTV, the college and community television station. I spent my time reporting, anchoring, and producing our weekly shows and also contributed to the college's student magazine, newspaper, and news website. I interned at KCRG-TV9 for two summers, the first I was a reporter and the second I produced the travel segment "Our Town."

One of my favorite college memories was anchoring a special edition show called Youth Vote with KWWL Channel 7's anchor, Ron Steele. It covered the 2012 presidential election by explaining the issues and how they affect young voters. I also got the chance to study abroad while in college and traveled to Germany, Romania, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic.

I like to spend my time running, cooking, reading, and watching movies.
